Our 228 / 2050mm system takes the lead in the size of apochromatic objectives manufactured worldwide.

Of course, these optics are also manufactured to the highest quality standards: Strehl value minimum 0.96, carefully polished and interferometrically tested, optimally broadband multi-coated. The effort involved in titanium cell of the lens system is not insignificant. Here we fall back on the decades of experience and expertise of LZOS, which ultimately manufactured practically all Russian space optics. LZOS conducts its own glass research / development and also produces these glasses itself. This results in perfect control of every development stage. APM has been a partner for civil optics for decades and can actively participate in the development of optics, which contributes to the optimization and adaptation to the needs of professional and amateur astronomers.

Our 9 “triplet SuperED Apo is produced exclusively for you. You have full freedom of design for the tube, focuser and external adjustments such as back focus and accessory connections / adapters. We calculate the diaphragm system exactly according to your specifications for field diameter and distance to the focal plane. Custom-made products such as Coudé tubes can of course be realized!
The weight of the tube is approx. 35-36kg, depending on the configuration. With an elongated tube, the mount should already belong to the upper class in order to be able to work with low vibration.

If the device is properly installed in the observatory, you can look forward to unforgettable observations! With this opening, groups of galaxies, weaker globular clusters and close binary stars are visually possible. Thanks to the excellent color correction, you will even be able to identify different color components in the double and multiple stars. Of course, these optics are perfect for planets and solar observation: Walk along the terminator of the moon and dissolve the finest details and craters when the air is calm! Saturn clearly shows the ring divisions and on Jupiter you can follow the migration of the different colored storm systems. The contrast performance is significantly increased compared to mirror systems and achromatic lenses. Due to the exact representation of these refractors, our apos are also ideal for research purposes! Our reducers and field flatteners from Massimo Riccardi are available for those who want to work in photography!

In addition to the large 3.5 “FeatherTouch focuser, all the important reducing adapters, sleeves and the viewfinder holder are already integrated in order to conveniently connect both photographic and visual accessories. Multi-compatible pipe clamps are standard, a sturdy transport box is optionally available. We coordinate the primary data and optional components closely with you!
