Unmatched Multi-Narrowband Performance
The Triad Ultra filter stands alone in its class as a filter with four ultra-narrow bandpasses that cover Hydrogen alpha, Hydrogen beta, Sulfur II, and Oxygen III wavelengths - the four most common wavelengths for narrowband astrophotography. As a multi-narrowband filter, the Triad Ultra is designed to photograph emission nebulae, planetary nebulae, and supernova remnants, and excels at doing so from light pollution. However, we recommend you try it from dark skies as well - the narrow bandpasses will give you tighter stars and more pronounced nebulosity.

Use Case for Monochrome Cameras
You might think that the Triad Ultra is only designed for color cameras, but it actually works great on monochrome cameras too! A traditional luminance filter has a broad bandpass that lets light in from around 400 to 700nm. This works well for broadband imaging of galaxies and reflection nebulae, for example, but will be affected heavily by light pollution with such a broad bandpass. With the Triad Ultra, you can gather luminance data in all four major wavelengths while simultaneously cutting out light pollution and you get the added benefit of keeping the stars tight and small. Think of it as the ultimate luminance filter for your monochrome camera!
American Made
The Triad Ultra is 100% American made and uses advanced multi-coatings and extreme tolerance glass, to ensure it is always consistent and accurate. Filter thickness is 3mm.

The Triad 2-inch filter is housed in a 7mm tall ring, with 5mm height above the threads. The ring wall thickness is between 1.3 and 2.58mm - depending on production batch. Please double check to make sure this will fit your filter wheel or accessories.
Radian: Standard 30 Day Return Policy. Please contact us for an RMA number. You will receive a full refund for unopened or unaltered products. If the product has been opened, a restocking fee will be charged depending on the condition of the product.
Return Policy:
We aim to make returns as easy as possible at Stargazing Telescopes. You may return your purchase within the allotted time frame that each manufacturer allows.
You will be responsible for the return shipping charges as well as a 20% restocking fee (20% of the price of product).
To request a return please email returns@stargazingtelescopes.com and include your name, order number and date of purchase. We will also require proof of purchase, which is a copy of the receipt.
Returns must be authorized before being sent. We will contact the manufacturer on your behalf and issue you a RMA number which is mandatory for returns.
To be eligible for a return, your item must:
- be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
- be undamaged and in the original packaging.
Products not eligible for return:
- Products that have been used or tampered with
- Products not in resalable condition
- Custom orders
- Products not in original packaging
- Products that do not have an RMA number
The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and must use the shipping method as specified by Stargazing Telescopes to ensure the item is not damaged in transit and is tracked and sent safely. Refunds will be processed within 14 working days from the point we have received your return.
Before your refund is approved, the manufacturer will inspect and process the items which can take up to seven business days. Return shipping charges and re-stocking fees are non-refundable. Shipping charges and factory re-stocking fees will be deducted from the total refund amount. You will receive a confirmation email when your return has been processed. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method and can take up to 72 hours to reflect on your statement.
Cancellations:
You may cancel your order any time before your item(s) have shipped. If your items are in-stock / back-ordered there is a $20 cancellation fee applicable before your items have shipped.
If your order has shipped, you (the buyer) will be responsible for return shipping charges (see Return Policy above for detail). Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method that was used when placing your order.
Damages:
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when it arrives, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to returns@stargazingtelescopes.com and we will contact the manufacturer on your behalf.

Warranty
At Stargazing Telescopes we are dedicated to making sure our customers receive the highest quality products. If for any reason you would like your purchase repaired or replaced, all you have to do is call us at 540 253 3466 or email us at info@stargazingtelescopes.com and we will advise you on how to proceed.
Warranties will not be valid for products that have been misused or tampered with by the customer, and each manufacturer retains the right to inspect the product to determine whether it is covered by their warranty. If an item needs to be repaired or replaced, the customer is responsible for shipping costs unless otherwise stated.
Please note, you must have proof of purchase (copy of your receipt) in order for the warranty to be valid.
Radian: Depending on your location, items are shipped out in between 1-5 days. If for some reason we are out of stock on an item and that fact was not displayed on our website, we will be in contact with you via phone or e-mail as quickly as possible. We use UPS for most items, and USPS for smaller items. The carrier used is at the manufacturer's discretion.
We provide free shipping on all orders over $150 within continental USA!
Order Confirmation:
You will receive an e-mail to confirm that your order has been placed. At this point your chosen payment method has been pre-authorized for your purchase.
We will confirm with the supplier that your item(s) are in stock and available for shipment. If your item(s) are in stock we will process payment and ship your order within five business days.
If your order is on back-order we will provide an estimated lead time. If you are happy to wait for the item, we will process payment to secure your order and ship your order as soon as it is available. If you do not wish to wait, we will void the pre-authorization and cancel your order.
If your item is out of stock or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail.
Order Shipment & Delivery:
If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your pre-authorized payment method, it will ship within five business days from the date of your order unless otherwise stated. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at orders@stargazingtelescopes.com.
Delivery times will vary based on your location and shipping method that our vendors use. Within mainland USA, Economy shipping generally takes five to eight business days to arrive, and Standard shipping takes approximately three to four business days.
